Counselling / Supervision

Loss, Grief and Bereavement Support

I am a qualified Counsellor, with a major focus on loss, grief and bereavement issues with a humanistic, person-centred approach. This includes providing a professional relationship of support, care and presence in a process which is guided by you, outside of your day-to-day relationships.  This may also include information and education around certain issues that are identified, such as what to expect and strategies to assist, when experiencing grief, bereavement and end of life.

I offer my presence, in being able to listen and be with you through your issues and difficulties. If you choose to, a more formal process of engagement can be agreed to where we set some goals that you may want to work towards, and embark on a collaborative journey in which I provide support, reflection and guidance on an agenda set by you.

Professional Supervision

I am a professional supervisor, providing support and a space for others working in a variety of professions, including education, clinical and pastoral practices.  I provide an intended and bounded space with you to reflect together on your work practice, which focusses on those identified issues you wish to reflect upon.

I provide a collaborative relationship providing a forum in which learning and development is enhanced, and challenges of work and life can be explored.  This is achieved through shared reflection on your work within a relationship characterised by trust, confidentiality, support and openness that gives you freedom and safety to explore issues arising in your work.

A space is created encouraging self-reflection facilitating a reflective learning environment which helps support a setting for self-awareness and self-realisations.

In this process you are assisted to:

  • improve the quality of your work;
  • transform relationships with those you are working with; and
  • providing ongoing professional development in your practice.
